And talking of efforts: the reading of the biography of H. Varmus: a clear description of the ins and outs of research: politics, and a constant battle against self? As explained to Philippe L, this is a profession of failure, or doubt, and of prevailing feeling of idiocy: the price to pay for trying to understand the unknown.
