Feliz cumpleaños, sí, sí...
... oye, te veo peligrosamente cerca de Martha's Vineyard (que, supongo, ni es un vineyard ni ya es de Martha). No sé que pensar.
Me ha encantado la alegoría poética de Whitman que te deja la supraescribiente. A mí me encanta la poesía, también, así que quiero obsequiarte con unos versos que intenten sumarse a la elevada cita anterior (aunque sea a un nivel algo más ínfimo -nótese la epitetización como forma de irrumpir en lo poético ya desde antes del inicio del poema- que, como es lógico, me corresponde):
Crecen los años,
mengua la vida...
Crecen las cejas,
mengua la vista...
Crecen los huevos,
mengua la picha...
... pero, cuando la picha mengua,
crece la lengua.
Y sigue la dicha.

On a dark and rainy night in the winter of '86 I arrived by ferry to the shores of tiny Block Island with Noga. The memory had been lost and forgotten without a trace until I saw your photos, my half century old friend. How much else have we buried out of sight?
My poetic friends and relatives (better than relative friends)...thanks. Some day, perhaps sooner than later, this transition will be phrased and written down. For once, memory may get fixed on paper!
